Wow, what a difference a day makes, check out the update to the Game boy advance emulator for the iPhone, now we have sound, a better graphical interface and performance issues have been improved. More to come .
Screenshots are something I get ask often how do I take them, I have given instructions on previous post but it looks like the developers over at Robota Softwarehouse have made life much easier for iPhone user to take a screenshot with the release of their new GUI app.
I must say it’s an earlier release and all the bugs haven’t been worked out, I don’t like the fact that it saves the file in your tmp directory and therefore not showing up in your iPhone’s Photo’s list like the other command line alternative. Therefore I would wait on this one especially if you’re an iPhone installer newbie.
Yes it’s possible, Nintendo Game Boy games on the iPhone, the screenshot says it’s all. Warning it’s very early in development and all the bugs and features haven’t been worked out. The audio has been disabled and some of the controls are off, but it’s a start.
To download install “gpSphone” from the installer.app and you’re on your own for roms. Also you’ll still need to download the gba_bios.bin file (do a google search) and place into the iPhone app and then sftp back to the iPhone. Confused yet?
